Type I:
Idea Stage Startups / Entrepreneurs – With or without registered companies
Details of Grants
Entrepreneurs-in-Residence Grant’s
Ideation Grant: Upto Rs. 4 Lakh
Number of grants: up to 4
Eligibility:
- Aspiring entrepreneurs (individual innovators and students) and start-ups developing innovative digital solutions in Healthcare, Education, Agriculture, Financial inclusion including digital payments, Infrastructure, Video Conferencing, Environment and clean tech, Clean energy solutions & Other emerging areas (flexibility to support tech startups to address societal challenges in ICTE areas)
- Indian Start-ups (registered under Companies Act, 2013), having at least 51% shareholders as Indian Citizens [does not include OCI or PIO] is the mandatory requirement
- Individuals applying for these grants must be Indian citizens (does not include OCI or PIO)
Stage of development: Idea to Proof of Concept (PoC)
Seed grant support for: Idea development, validation and subsequent development of PoC
Selection criteria: Scientific and technical strength, novelty, business potential, societal impact, implementation plan, and suitability to funding schem
Type II:
Initial Stage Startups
Start up Further Development Grant
Seed grant support: up to Rs. 7 Lakh
Number of grants: up to 4
Eligibility:
- Start-Ups developing innovative digital solutions in Healthcare, Education, Agriculture, Financial inclusion including digital payments, Infrastructure, Video Conferencing, Environment and cleantech, Clean energy solutions & Other emerging areas (flexibility to support tech startups to address societal challenges in ICTE areas)and who have completed Proof of Concept (PoC)
- Indian Start-ups (Registered under Companies Act, 2013), having at least 51% shareholders as Indian Citizens [does not include OCI or PIO] is the mandatory requirement
Stage of development: Proof of Concept (PoC) to Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
Seed grant support for: Creating a Minimum Viable Product and to advance the start-up till Go-to-the-market stage
Selection criteria: Innovation and Technology Strength, novelty, business potential, societal impact, implementation plan, team strength, and suitability to funding scheme
